A magician's diary

"We could do with you in accounts" followed by riotous laughter from their colleagues. This is the soundtrack to Christmas work-do magic and rings out like an anthem many, many times during December from the mad bloke. You know, the bloke who bangs on about being being mental "I'm mental me"...anyway...now I've got that off my chest.

So as you may have guessed Christmas has arrived and I've been wracking up the travelcard miles doing magic all over London and the surrounding areas. Today I was in Oxford Street doing a work-do for accountants. Tuesday I was in Twickenham in the afternoon doing a Christmas party for lawyers and in the evening I was in nearby Kingston doing a Christmas party night in a bar that was a lot of fun. Monday, I was in Finsbury Park doing a Christmas party for residents of a swanky complex of apartments.

Sunday was a day of rest as my mojo was severely depleated. Saturday I did 7 hours of magic. In the daytime I was the 02 shop in Streatham doing magic for a promotion, I was absolutely freezing but I kept my spirits up by singing carols beside a burning bin..ok that's a lie. In the evening I was at the Hilton Hotel in Edgeware Road doing a big old party for traders. The compere for the evning was the bloke off of Channel 5 baseball. can you believe the heady world of celebrity that I live in? Thursday and Friday I did my last few dates for Phoenix Plc at Alexandra Palace working on the stand and on Friday evening I did a work Christmas party at a house in Fulham for some charming people.

In short lots of magic and its all action again tomorrow - rock and roll eh?

Crazy December magic has arrived!

It's always the busiest month of the year but this year seems to be even crazier than usual, it almost feels like I've got a real job haha. If you are reading this before enquiring please call 0781 382 5547 as I have limited availability and I can give you an immediate answer/quote. I will reply to email enquiiries asap but many of the days this month I am working from lunchtime till late at night.

In the last month I attended the International Magic Convention which featured lectures from magicians from all over the world, a gala show and a question and answer session from Derren Brown. My favourite bit as always was hanging out with friends and exchaning magic ideas. A quick hello to Geoff from Hull and Darren from Bristol who are excellent magicians and really nice guys, unfortunately they haven't got websites so I cannot point you in their direction. However if you see them perform magic you are in for a treat.

If you are considering taking up magic as a hobby and you live in London then pop along to International Magic Convention for expert advice on how to start in magic.

I'm just recovering from a cold which I hope I can keep at bay for the whole of December.

Jingle bells.
